Food: 5 Service: 5 Ambiance: 4 We've been going to Humble Bee for years now and we really enjoy it- we keep going back for more. It can be tricky if you have to wait and parking can be a bit tough, but once you get past those two issues, you'll most certainly have a great time. We've been there for both breakfast and lunch and ingredients are fresh, food is warm, and the menus is not too overwhelming.
The farm boy is super filling and the homemade potatoes are so yummy! Also loved their pancake- super soft!
The quintessential neighborhood breakfast spot. Everything is house-made. Everything is made with local ingredients. Everything is delicious. The coffee is some of the best diner coffee I've had. They always have a few unique specials that are always fantastic. The panwich is especially great if you love sweet & savory together. But you can just get a simple breakfast sandwich or biscuits and gravy and its going to be great! Even if you don't want to sit down, just grab a bag of their pastries to go and you are going to be super happy you did. Everybody should go here.
I was craving for a hearty breakfast after fasting for a routine blood work and found this nook in the middle of the industrial network of shops and stores of various sorts. So, to start I reviewed their menu and reminded me of France near the Mont San Michelle, exquisite breads and sandwiches curated at the restaurant, freshest fruits like berries of all sorts and aromatics that'll entice your eyes, as soon as you lay on them. Here's one of their masterpieces: Mushroom and Swiss quiche - Lion's mane and blue oyster mushrooms, Swiss cheese, chives, spicy romesco sauce, roasted garlic in a flaky pie crust served with side salad or potatoes (almond nut allergy), wow! Well, if you feel American for the day, try their ..."Farm Boy Stacks"Two eggs any style with your choice of breakfast meat, potatoes and a pancake. I asked for bacon and voila, it reminded me of my daily dose of thick bacon while studying in London...their bacon is thicker than usual and more porky than usual from other nooks. The decors are midwestern and parking is available. They also have vegan options like their panwiches and other exuberant choices. Staff are pleasantly nice and their menu choices will entice you to stay as soon as you take your seat. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner options that will make you a frequent customer once you enjoy their creations. Drop by Humble Bee and am sure they'll make you a frequent diner at any time of the day or night. You'll never feel sorry if you try them at any time of the day or afternoon. So, bring your date or family and enjoy the Humble Bee experience! Bon appetit!
The service was great as one would expect and the staff was friendly despite it being fairly slow for a Monday morning. Parking is a bit tough to deal with, even though they have spots out front, you'd have to compete with other customers who are there for the nearby businesses as well as the restaurant is in a mini strip plaza. And the spaces out front are very tight. There are more spaces in the back from what we were told. Might be best to find street parking if you want to get in and out of your vehicle normally. The food was at best, okay. With the amount of ingredients listed, I felt that it could be something that I'd be able to cook from home. My cousin had The English Butty and I had the Frittata. The rosemary bread on the butty was good, and I liked the pairing of sweet potatoes with the arugula, beets, and goat cheese on the frittata. I had a matcha latte with lavender and I kind of wished they had spruced up the look of the drink considering how farm to table they advertise their food to be. However, it's pretty straight forward if you want a good and healthy breakfast.
Today a friend asked us to come have breakfast with him at his hidden gem Lol What a wonderful place, I loved our "Eggs Benedict" and freshly squeezed Oj. We got in right away, sat down and ordered right away because we were starving. Can't wait to go back and get my photos. Parking is hard though I cant imagine it on a very busy Sunday.
I came here the other day to try out their food. I heard that they used organic and locally sourced ingredients, so I had to come here. The first time I came here, I ordered their eggs benedict. I ordered the eggs over easy, and they came with apple smoked sausage, in between two slices of buttery biscuit. The breakfast potatoes and salad were the perfect complement. This plate is my favorite thus far, it was delicious and the quality shows. The second time I came here, I got the panwich. This plate consists of a large pancake sandwiching eggs and apple smoked sausage patty. The panwich is topped with diced apple pieces, and cream. The panwich was ok, I tried it on the whim, but I prefer the eggs benedict more. The customer service was great, both times the wait staff took care of me well. The place is clean, brightly lit with natural light, and comfortable. This is a great spot for breakfast or brunch, I recommend them!
I went to Humblebee today for breakfast on a Saturday morning and had a fantastic experience. We were seated right away, with plenty of seating still available. My grandma and I ordered a garden omelette and a black forest ham omelette with cheese. Both were really good. The potatoes were perfectly cooked, and my omelette was also perfectly cooked. My grandma, a very picky eater, really enjoyed her dish because of all the vegetables inside her omelette. She opted for a side salad instead of the potatoes. We both ordered coffee, which was very delicious, and we received three coffee refills. Our server was very polite and even offered us coffee to go. There are seating options both inside and outside, and the ambiance is very relaxed with no music, making it easy to talk. There's parking in the back, which is where I usually park. If you want a nice, healthy breakfast, I highly recommend this restaurant.
We were out househunting on a Saturday afternoon and decided to find a restaurant in the neighborhood. We stumbled across the Humble Bee. We were seated immediately at communal table, which is never my ideal seating arrangement but it worked out fine. Being a Saturday afternoon, the restaurant was pretty busy. The noise levels a little high, but it's not fine dining, it's more of a casual atmosphere, so it was OK. Our service was fairly friendly and the meals we chose were both good. I went with the omelet and my partner had the eggs Benedict. I specifically asked if the potatoes had onions in them and was told no, but apparently the omelette comes with onions in it and I missed seeing that on the menu. It would have been nice if the server had caught that for me, but I will take responsibility for not seeing that. The only thing that kind of gave me the creeps was that the tables are very sticky. I don't know if it's the finish on the table itself or the cleaning product that they use to wipe it down, but it's unappealing. If we were in the area, we would return to the Humble Bee.
